Just waiting...............
And waiting...............
And waiting...............
I have done everything I need to do before waiting to meet Ruby.
I was so certain early on that Ruby would come early as I did (3 weeks early) and my siblings did (each 2 weeks early). But Ruby has already surpassed this and my OB and acupuncturist both seem fairly confident she is in there for the long haul! At my last OB visit she was not engaged at all and although she is head down she is running up my left side with all her limbs reaching out to the right. She is also leaning a little towards being spine to spine which is not ideal we need her spine to my front.
Since last post I have discovered that the right side chest pain just under my breast is actually rib cartilage tenderness from my uterus and Ruby pushing up on my ribs. So now I know that at least it is normal - I'm not concerned.
Nights still have not gotten any better with the side pain, but I am now also experiencing what feels like muscular aches and pains or sometimes light stitches in my groin/lower abdomen area when shifting positions in bed also. How many more sleeps til she will come?
Days are going fine. I'm a bit bored and constantly disappointed that my energy levels are not as high as normal and that I can't do all the things I normally could - ie. go shopping for a decent period, move my bowels like a normal person etc. I'm finding it strange that I look at the week ahead and the highlight of my to do list (well truthfully the only thing on my to do list) is my next OB appointment on Friday. At this one he is going to do an internal to check my pelvis size -then determining whether or not he thinks Rubes is going to fit.
I have been drinking raspberry leaf tea since 35 weeks and have this week increased it to two cups per day. I have also taken up snacking on soft eating liquorice as I've been told it can help induce labour - who knows? But surely it can't hurt?
I have only had one episode that I am confident was Braxton Hicks which was at about 37 and a half weeks. I experienced lower light period type cramps and lower back pain which would both come and go in waves (the back pain felt worse than the period type pain). It lasted for about two hours and lying down in bed made it go away.
I'm sure I'll be doing another post titled how far along I am before she comes........although I tell her everyday if she's getting a lil cramped in there she is welcome to come on out!
Can't wait to meet her :)
